Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Baku airport to Baku hotel

The pickup will be done from Baku International Airport. The driver will wait for the client in arrival gate, holding a placard with the client’s name. From the airport to the hotel area will take approximately 30 minutes to 60 minutes depend on traffic jams and hotel location.

Day 2 – Half Day Baku City Tour – Private Transfers (Without guide)

Shirvanshahs Palace: Shirvanshahs Palace, or the complex of Shirvanshahs Palace, the old residence of Shirvanshahs, situated in Baku city (the Shirvan rulers). The complex includes, besides the palace, a court-room (divankhana), the Shirvanshah sepulcher, the palace mosque, the minaret tower of which belongs to 1441, a bath, and the sepulcher of the palace Seyid Yahya Bakuvi.

Maiden Tower: The height of the Maiden Tower is 28 m, its diameter on the first floor is 16,5 m. The thickness of the wall on the first floor reaches 5 meters. The internal area of the castle is divided into 8 floors. Each floor was built with hewn stones and covered with a dome-shaped roof. The castle began to act as a museum in 1964 and was included in the list of world heritage sites of UNESCO in 2000.

Carpet Museum: Azerbaijan is a country of flying carpets. The different regional carpet schools in Azerbaijan. The Carpet Museum will give you the inspiration of different style carpets with different ornaments.

Day 4 – Absheron + Gobustan tour

Spend your day discovering the ancient and historical mystery of Azerbaijan. Travel to see the ancient carvings, mud volcanoes and the other amazing things in The Gobustan National Park.

Gobustan National Park is one of Azerbaijan’s most popular and ancient sights visited by thousands of tourists annually. You will learn about the history of petroglyphs found in this area and also get useful information to make your stay in Baku much more interesting and full of memorable activities. We promise you that you will be impressed by this tour.

  • The tour starts with Qobustan which is best known for being the home to the famous rock petroglyphs and mud volcanoes. The area has been settled since the 8th millennium BC. It is known for hosting thousands of rock engravings spread over 100 square km depicting hunting scenes, people, ships, constellations and animals. Its oldest petroglyphs date from the 12th century BC. In 2007, UNESCO included the ‘Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape’ in the World Heritage list.
  • Visit to the Bibi-Heybat Mosque – historical mosque in Baku, Azerbaijan. The existing structure, built in the 1990s, is a recreation of the mosque with the same name built in the 13th century by Shirvanshah Farrukhzad II Ibn Ahsitan II.
  • The Absheron Tour will start with Ateshgah (Fire Worshippers Temple) Based on Persian and Indian inscriptions, the temple was used as a Hindu and Zoroastrian place of worship. “Atash” is the Persian word for fire. The pentagonal complex, which has a courtyard surrounded by cells for monks and a tetra pillar-altar in the middle, was built during the 17th and 18th centuries. It was abandoned in the late 19th century, probably due to the dwindling of the Indian population in the area. The natural eternal flame & went out in 1969, after nearly a century of exploitation of petroleum and gas in the area, but is now lit by gas piped from the nearby city
  • Trip to Fire Mountain; Yanardag & -a mountain on the Absheron peninsula, 25 km north of Baku. Literally, the word Yanardag means Blazing mountain. Blazing bodies of flame dance on stones and the floor. Yanar Dag is a natural gas fire that blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, which itself is known as the land of fire.

After breakfast, enjoy your day on your own and explore the nearby beautiful area.

Day 6 – Baku Hotel to Baku Airport – PVT

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to the airport with sweet memories.

  • Shopping on Leisure Day: Use your Day 5 to visit Deniz Mall (Venice-themed mall) or the Genclik Mall. For luxury brands, visit the Port Baku Mall.
  • Souvenirs: The best place to buy local souvenirs (carpets, copperware, tea sets) is the Old City (Icherisheher) or the Taza Bazaar.
  • Currency: Keep small change (Manats) for taxis or metro rides during your free day.

  • Weather: Evenings can be breezy, even in summer. A light jacket is always useful for the Walking Tour areas.
