Day 4 – Phi Phi Island Tour (shared big boat with lunch( excl -island fees))

Phi Phi Island is the Thai island-superstar. It’s been in the movies. It is what travelers are talking about throughout Thailand. To others, it is the sole reason to touchdown in Phuket. It is not disappointing in spite of all the hype. Part of the attractiveness is the beauty of Phi Phi. When one comes by boat to the islands, they stand out of the sea like a castle. Massive cliffs rise above, and then yield to the jungle that borders the beach. It’s love at first sight. Phuket has a distance of about 80 minutes by the Sea Angel Cruise. Tips Before You Go

  • Entry fee to the National Park: Cash (Thai Baht). The National Park Fee (around 400 THB per adult) must be paid to the park rangers in the islands. The package does not come with this.
  • Ferry Ride: The large boat to Phi Phi is steady, although when you get seasick, take motion sickness pills 30 minutes prior to boarding.
  • Waterproof Bag: A very important item that you should bring with you is a waterproof bag, such as a waterproof bag or an Ocean Pack, which will be able to keep your phone and wallet dry when on the boat.
  • Sun Protection: The Andaman Sea sun is very powerful. Wear a hat and sun protection of high SPF.Beach Towels: Request your hotel reception to give beach towels before leaving the hotels to the tours (do not use the white bath towels).

FAQs

Q1. Will this include the fee for the National Park?

Ans. No. At the islands, the Thai government charges a National Park Fee (an estimated 400 THB per person). The guest has to pay this in cash at hand.

Q2. What is the duration of the drive between Phuket Airport and Krabi?

Ans. The road transport between the Phuket International Airport and the Krabi hotel is about 2.5-3 hours.

Q3. Does it include lunch in the tours?

Ans. Yes. Both the Krabi 4 Island tour andthe  Phi Phi Island tour include a local buffet lunch (Thai/Asian). There are vegetarian choices, but they are few.

Q4. Can we swim at Maya Bay?

Ans. The rules of Maya Bay are often changed. It can be close to swimming but remain open to sightseeing by the boat. The guide will enlighten you on the existing laws on the tour day.

Q5. Is the boat to the Krabi islands personal?

Ans.  No, this is an included package of a Shared Long Tail Boat. Other tourists will be accompanying you. Should you wish to have a private boat, we will do it at a higher price.

Q6. What part of Phuket does the hotel occupy?

Ans. The hotels we normally offer are in Patong Beach which is the centre of the night life and shopping in Phuket. In case you want a less acclaimed place (such as Karon or Kata), you should inform us.

Q7. Is snorkeling gear provided?

The boat operator normally supplies masks and snorkels. But on hygienic grounds, there are guests who will come with their own mouthpiece or complete set.

Q8. Are there any Indian cuisine at Krabi and Phuket?

You are correct, Ao Nang (Krabi) and Patong (Phuket) are good in the Indian restaurants which handle the North and South Indian food.

Q9. Which type of clothes should I wear on the boat tours?

Ans. Wear swimwear under clothes, shorts, a t-shirt, and flip-flops. You may bring along some dry stuff in case of a change of clothes on the way back.

Q10. Is this a tour that can be taken by infants?

Ans. Bumpy boats can be speedboats and longtail boats. Before making a reservation, we suggest that you speak to us regarding infants below 2 years of age and pregnant women. A bigger boat, such as the Big Boat to Phi Phi, is usually smoother and less dangerous to young children.
